Puppies have gotten HUGE!!

Time has flown by and the puppies only have a few weeks left before they head to their new homes!
All 8 puppies are eating hard kibble and drinking more water than milk. Everyone is doing GREAT!!
They've been lucky the last few days, Kim has been laid up with a knee injury so they've been able to spend all day playing with each other; rather than in their own pens.

The quints are 7.5 weeks old!

Kieran will be 7 weeks old on Christmas day!

The little boys are 6 weeks old!

Puppy Update!

The puppies are growing like little weeds lately.

Brogan and Baker have been introduced to the idea of weaning but are not embracing it.  They want Momma's milk so it's been somewhat of a challenge to start the process.  Putting them with the other puppies seems to be helping a lot!

Kieran has become an honorary sibling to the quints.  They are together all the time and when it's nap time, he's mixed right in there with the others.  It was hard for him but he's a trooper and now it's like he was never without them.  Eating agrees with Kieran but his weight gain is slowing!!

Ava's quints are a hot mess!  All 5 of them are little spitfires with such different personalities.  We learned this week when introducing them to the ex-pen that they have great lungs.  They cried a bit when the dogs or I would approach the pen or just walk by but now, since it's second nature to them, it's quiet and they spend all their time playing.  They started eating food last week at 4 weeks and as you can see from their weights, they LOVE it.

At this point, all 8 puppies are in the ex-pen playing and napping a lot of the time but when I'm not home, they are each with their own mommies.  All 8 puppies are eating puppy mush and using piddle pads...the pads are very well received and they're doing great with them.  Toys are fun for them now.  Gave them some small plush toys and some petstages chew toys...oh and some empty water bottles, they're always a big hit!

They don't love to pose for pictures because they want to climb, jump, hop out, reach, sniff, chew the snowman's broom or bury their heads.  It was a challenge but I think you'll like them.

Bye for now...
